Create an understanding for selected financial terms. Raise awareness of the impact of certain activities and decisions of employees outside the Finance Department on the financial performance of the operation.

Employees outside the Finance Department who have the power to make decisions, which impact the company's P&L or Cash Flow.
For example: front line Salesmen or Sales managers who can give discounts, allowances or payment terms; Marketing Managers, who develop Promotions and need to understand the financial consequences.

  • The basics and principles of a P/(L) statement
  • Fixed and Variable Costs, Break-Even Point

1 or 2 days depending on the intensity of exercises and whether or not a member of the company's Finance Department presents and discusses internal data (e.g. MCs for selected products).

Selling Financial Services

Skills and simple tools to convince potential customers buying financial products which are usually difficult to understand for people with non financial background

Improve the selling and presentation skills for products requiring long term financial planning.

03. Target Group

Salesmen and Customer Service representatives of Insurance and Broker companies as well as banks.

  • How to establish a financial dialog between the salesmen (expert) and the customer (non-expert)
  • Basics of financial mathematics (e.g. nominal and effective interest rates, compound interest rates, annual yield, performance, present and future value, etc.
  • Calculating and presenting financial proposals (a financial calculator is provided)
